TODAY AT HILO HIGH SCHOOL
KVIKS MEDIA General Meeting (3/25/24-3/28/24)
The general meeting for all KVIKS Media members will be TODAY, March 28, 2024. We will be going over the details for our upcoming events for the month of April, including the Merrie Monarch Festival and Na Leo TV Youth Challenge. All members are expected to attend. If you are unable to attend, you are expected to send an email or text with a reason to be excused to an officer. The meeting will be in C-215 at 12:30 PM, please be prompt. If you want to pick up lunch early, pick up a pass from C-117.

WHAT'S NEW VIKINGS?
Class of 2025 Junior Parent Night (3/28/2024 - 4/2/2024)
Aloha, Class of 2025 Juniors! There will be a Junior student and Parent Night on Tuesday, April 2nd. Please look for the email from Mrs. Frias, and fill out the Google Form to let us know if you and your family plan to attend. The meeting will begin at 5:30pm on Tuesday, April 2nd in the Hilo High Cafeteria, and will last about an hour. You will learn about your upcoming Senior Year events, as well as PTP workshops and Career and College planning information. See Mrs. Frias in N-103 if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
Art Club Meeting (3/28/24-4/5/24)
Attention Art Club Members: For our next meeting on Friday, April 5th, we are meeting down at the East Hawai'i Cultural Center after school. Please have a parent/guardian complete the permission form posted on Google Classroom. Stop by Ms. Z's room in L-4 if you have any questions.
SCU Egg Hunt (3/28/24)
Hey Vikings! To celebrate Easter, the Student Credit Union will be having an EGG HUNT during lunch! Eggs will be hidden around campus, containing free movie tickets, gift cards, candy bags, and SCU merch items! If you find an egg, bring it to A-16 to claim your prize! We have ONE HUNDRED eggs hiding around campus, so find as many as you can!!!

Nalukai Summer Camp Application (3/15/24-3/28/24)
Nalukai Academy Summer Startup Camp is a free intensive social, cultural, and commercial entrepreneurship boarding program for Hawaiʻi high school students. This year’s program will be held at UH Hilo from July 5th through 14th and is 100% free of cost to students. Each accepted student will also receive a new professional-grade laptop. Applications are due on April 8th and letters of recommendation must be submitted by April 1st. Apply now at nalukai.org

ASVAB Testing (3/11/24-4/5/24)
All 10th-12th graders, the LAST ASVAB administration for this school year will be on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024. The test will be administered in C-215 and will start promptly at 8:10 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB.

Due to COVID-19, the number of test-takers per session has been reduced to 30.
C-215 will be closed all morning on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 to accommodate the test.
Football Conditioning (3/25/24-5/30/24)
Interested in becoming a Hilo High Football player? Strengthening and conditioning practice will be every Tuesday and Thursday beginning TOMORROW, March 28, 2024 from 3pm - 6pm. From 3pm to 4:30pm in the Weight Room and 4:30pm - 6pm in the Old Gym. Requirement to attend is a completed physical, turned in. Bring tennis shoes, water, towel and extra clothes. Any questions please see coach John. If you need a physical form go to our Hilo High School athletic website or go to the main office.
