Spirit Week (4/22/24)
Today is day ONE of spirit week- and you know what that means! It's “My crush Monday”! Hope you're all dressed up as your celebrity crush or as an iconic celebrity! Remember- tomorrow is “Getcha Head in the Game Tuesday”, so wear your favorite sports jersey and come on down to the pool rally at lunch! Have an awesome spirit week Vikings, and remember to finish the year off strong!
Earth Day Project (4/22/24)
TODAY, April 22nd is Earth Day! To celebrate this special day, the Hilo High Student Credit Union and the Big Island Genki Ball Project have come together to provide an interactive opportunity to our school! A special guest will lead students through the making of Genki Balls- all natural easy to make "mud" balls that have been used across the state to clean sludge out from bodies of water! Several classes have dedicated some of their time this Earth day to learn about Genki balls and make their very own, and if you are interested in learning more or making some yourself, lessons will also be held at recess and lunch in the lower patio TODAY. All balls will be dropped into the waters of Liliuokalani Park to clean the water there, so come by to learn more and make your own while supplies last!
