Yearbook Pickup (4/25/24-5/10/24)
The yearbooks are HERE! Please go and see Mrs. Mant's room in L-5 during lunch on your classes' priority day THIS WEEK. Bring your ID and/or your receipt. If you did not pre-order a yearbook, you can buy one for $50 cash on your priority day, or after.
The pick up times are as follows:
Juniors: TODAY, May 7th During Lunch
Sophomores: TOMORROW, May 8th During Lunch
And Freshmen: Thursday, May 9th During Lunch
All Vikings are welcome to come on Friday, May 10th during Lunch

Hey Vikings! It's teacher and staff appreciation week here at Hilo High, so it's the PERFECT time to tell your favorite faculty why they're AWESOME! Today, be ready to share the "SCOOPS" on why your favorite teacher is great in a special video message! Remember: all week, be on the lookout for ways to show your favorite teachers and staff that you appreciate them! Have an awesome week!

Senior Picnic Permission Forms (5/2/24-5/10/24)
Attention Seniors! If you did not get a permission form for Senior Picnic on Monday April 29 during song practice, please pick up a Permission form from the three available locations:

Ms. Switzer’s - Rm. A-16
Ms. Arbles - Rm. A-22
All Forms (Bright Green) are due to Mr. Yamamoto by Monday May 20, 2024. You DO NOT need teachers' signatures for your forms. If you do not turn in your permission forms, you will not be able to jump in the pool, and participate in Senior Picnic Activities. More information about senior picnic will be announced at song practice.

Hawaii International Science Experience (HISE)
ATTENTION HILO HIGH 9TH-11TH GRADERS! Are you interested in STEM? Do you like meeting new people? We are looking for East Hawaii's high-achieving students to represent Hawaii in the 2024-2025 inaugural Hawaii International Science Experience (HISE) program. Mahalo for your interest! HISE is paving the way for our youth to embrace the challenges of an interconnected world with passion and determination. We are providing students opportunities to interact with globally diverse peers, enabling them to broaden their international perspectives and foster relationships with exceptional foreign students. Through our 6-day-program, students will participate in fun activities, behind-the-scenes industry tours, and collaborative projects across the island. May Day Week (5/6/24)
Can you believe May Day Week is right around the corner? That's right: our May Day performance will be on May 17th, and we'll ALSO be having a whole week of cultural activities and dress ups leading to May Day! Let's hear about everything happening during May Day Week!
On Monday, May 13th, dress in your unique cultural attire!
On Tuesday, May 14th, our classes will go head to head in a SPAM MUSUBI eating contest at lunch!
On Wednesday, May 15th, we'll be dressing as the colors of our cultures' flags!
On Thursday, May 16th, we'll be playing a fun game of Gimme Gimme and giving out some global candies during lunch!
And of course, on Friday, May 17th, we'll be coming to school decked out in our Aloha Attire and enjoy our May Day LOT at the end of the day!
We hope you're all pumped up for a week full of fun and festivities! Don't forget, our May Day Hoike will also be in the evening of May 17th, and we'll also have loads of vendors at our New Gym to kick off the celebration that afternoon. Happy May Day, Vikings!
