FREE Digital Literacy Class at Waipahu Community School for Adults HILO CAMPUS. Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm starting August 12, 2024 to September 25, 2024.
This Digital Literacy Class will prepare students to:
● Use a computer to complete a goal;
● Troubleshoot basic computer challenges;
● Understand and articulate preferences for basic computer use;
● Use professional email etiquette;
● Understand when to utilize common email functions;
● Manage an email account to delete unwanted messages, retrieve deleted messages,
and search for emails;
● Recognize common characteristics of spam or phishing emails;
● Navigate an internet browser to complete a personal goal such as applying for a job or
shopping online;
● Know when and how to use browser tools and settings to protect personal internet
privacy;
● Differentiate between safe websites and those with possible malware and viruses; and
● Improve daily functioning reading and/or math for the workplace or everyday living.
