Upper Academies (8/14/2024 - 8/19/2024)
Hey Vikings! Welcome back to school! We hope your year is starting off well! Our 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Upper Academies will be meeting for STARS, TODAY, August 19th in separate locations. Here are the locations:
Academy of Construction and Engineering - Cafeteria
Academy of Business and Natural Resources - Auditorium
Academy of Health and Human Services - Pool
Students, please go directly to your Academy meeting location when STARS begins.
Japan Club (8/14/24-8/19/24)
Konnichiwa Japan Club members! There will be another informational meeting TODAY, August 19. Please bring your club dues of $5. Matene!

It’s the start of the school year, and if you want to add some fun to this year, why not JOIN A CLUB?! Hilo High will be hosting a CLUB RUSH EVENT during lunch on August 22, 2024, in front of B-Building! Here, you can visit different club booths and chat with club members and advisors about what their club is all about! Whether you want to do community service, explore your interests, or try something completely new, joining a club is one of the best ways to make friends, learn new things, and add to your resume in high school! So why not? Explore all that Hilo High has to offer with CLUB RUSH!
Speech and Debate Club (8/19/24-8/20/24)
Aloha Hilo High Speech and Debate Club members. Your first after school meeting will be TOMORROW, August 20th, from 2:30 to 5pm in room A12a. Anyone interested in learning more about Speech and Debate is welcome to attend this meeting. If you would like more information, see Mrs. Laliberte in B45 or Mrs. Baum in A12a. Speech and Debate provides students to develop essential life and communication skills, build confidence, and the opportunity to make wonderful friends.
Ceramics Club (8/15/24-8/21/24)
Aloha Vikings! Would you like to make some ceramic artwork this year, but do not have ceramics class? Well you are in luck! The Ceramics club is being brought back! The club needs members, officers and interested Vikings to come to the lunch meeting on Wednesday, August 21 in C-101. Are you interested but can't make it on Wednesday? Chess Tournament (8/15/24-8/21/24)
Ready for Chess? Hilo High Chess Tournament sign-ups will be in Mr.Yamanaka's room, B-41 from now until August 23rd. Get ready to outplay your opponent and have some fun!
Senior Reminders for Yearbook (8/14/24-8/30/24)
