Attention To Filipino Club members!
A reminder that Filipino club dues of $5 are due TOMORROW, September 12th. Please come to room A-23 to turn in your dues. let’s bond with one another!
SCU (9/10/24-9/13/24)
Were you interested in becoming a board member or o fficer of our student credit union? Please remember to turn in the packets you picked up at our Monday Meeting by this Friday to room A-13! If you would like to become a board member but don't have a form, come to A-16 to pick up a form! Remember: forms are due this Friday, Mahalo!
Picture Retakes (9/11/24-9/23/24)
Hey Vikings! Did you miss picture day? Picture retakes will be on Monday, September 23rd in C-215. Faculty and staff before school and students during Period 2. Teachers, if you have a student who needs a retake, send them anytime between 8 to 9 AM. Mahalo!
College Visitations (9/9/24-9/12/24)
This week we have the following visitations scheduled in the Career and College Counseling office:
Thursday - September 12 - pd 1 - Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland
Thursday - September 12 - pd 3 - A special visit and activity by the Liko Na Pilina Program at UH Hilo doing natural plant dyes with us while teaching us about conservation work, and native environmental and agricultural studies. Come sign up to try some plant dyes with us!
This Week in Viking Athletics (9/10/24-9/13/24)
Friday, September 13, 2024, we will have a student section at our football game against the Kealakehe Waveriders. It'll be beach-themed. Come in beach-themed attire! For example, you can wear fake leis, touristy attire, or show up as a lifeguard. We'll be giving out free gifts to the first 20 people. Come and support our football team against Kealakehe

Senior Mob Shot (9/6/24-9/23/24)
Attention Class of 2025 Seniors! Senior Mob Shot will be on Monday, September 23rd, 2024 at the New Gym during STARS. You will be going down to the New Gym during Recess, NOT with your STARS Class. Start preparing your mob shot poster! Here are the requirements. The poster size must not exceed 24” wide and 18” tall. It must contain appropriate subjects (Name, love, or place.) No contraband, cursing, profanity, or inappropriate themes. If you do not have your SPAV, or the Student Publication/Audio/Video Release form signed and YES checked off on the form before Mob Shot, you CANNOT participate. Have any questions? Girls Basketball (8/20/24-9/30/24)
Any girls that are interested in playing basketball meet coach Fred at the old gym at 6:20pm (after air riflery practice) every Monday and Wednesday.

Kulia College Pathways (9/11/24-9/17/24) MAYO TO RECORD
Aloha, Vikings! I'm excited to share information with you about a newly formed non-profit organization called Kulia College Pathways, founded by one of our 2021 Viking Alumna SHWE WIN ! Kūlia College Pathways is a student-run initiative dedicated to supporting Hawai‘i public schools students through the college application process. They offer FREE 1:1 mentorship with Hawai‘i students who are currently attending top universities like Harvard, MIT, Columbia, and Vanderbilt. The volunteer-mentors are all Hawai'i high school graduates, and they can provide personalized support in areas like essay writing, college and scholarship application feedback, and more through weekly meetings.
The application is now open to all current juniors and seniors and can be accessed through the QR code on the screen. The deadline to apply is September 18th, so if you are interested, you should apply NOW! If you have any questions or need more information, please see Mrs. Frias in N-103.
