Aloha Hilo High! On November 28, 1843 it was proclaimed and forever known as Lā Kūʻokoʻa or Hawaiian Independence Day. This year, the Thanksgiving holiday falls on our Hawaiian celebration day. So-this week, the Hawaiian classes and Hawaiian club invite you to WEAR RED on Wednesday November 27 in honor of Lā Kūʻokoʻa -Hawaiian Independence Day. If you wear RED on Wednesday, come to the Hawaiian classroom in K101 a MORNING RECESS to put your name in to win a free bento sponsored by the Hawaiian club to be given away at lunch. We will announce 3 winners at lunch, but you MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. Again WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 27---WEAR RED---HONOR Lā Kūʻokoʻa ---put your name in----possible free lunch. Simple! Mahalo nui loa.

Softball Conditioning Today (11/25/24)
Softball Conditioning begins TODAY, November 25, 2024. Conditioning/practices are weekdays from 3pm-5:30pm, at these locations: Hilo Bayfront Beach Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Malama Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Bring your athletic shoes for jogging/running. See you there, and GO VIKS!!

Aloha Hawaiian Club members! You will be taking yearbook photos TOMORROW Tuesday, November 26, during Lunch Recess. Come dressed in Aloha Attire, and meet at Kumu ʻAwaʻs room, K101.
Deadline for Cap and Gown Order (11/25/24-11/27/24)
SENIORS! This is your cap and gown order reminder. Order your cap and gown ASAP BY December 1st, especially if you want to earn an extra commencement ticket and avoid the late fee. Ordering AFTER December 1st will result in an additional $20 late fee when checking out, and worst of all, you LOSE an extra commencement ticket. Refer to the Class of 2025 Commencement Google Classroom to guide you through the ordering process. Get those orders on time!

Canned Food Drive (11/7/24-11/26/24)
VIKINGS! We have a slight change to our Thanksgiving Canned food drive! We will now be holding our classic Pumpkin Pie eating contest DURING LUNCH on Wednesday, November 27th. Be sure to come to the front of the auditorium during lunch that day if you want to participate and represent YOUR class! Thank you to those of you who have donated to our canned food drive so far, you are ALL receiving HERO Points to spend at our HERO Store! Remember, you can donate until November 26th, and every donation counts, thanks Viks!
