TODAY AT HILO HIGH SCHOOL
Hey Vikings! We hope you showed off your Santa or Grinchy looks yesterday! TODAY, we hope you're dressed in your WHITE CLOTHES like snow! Remember to dress in your RHYME WITHOUT REASON COSTUMES tomorrow with friends! There are so many ways to make fun rhyming costumes, so get creative! We will also be having CHRISTMAS Musical Chairs at lunch, so don't forget to come to the front of the auditorium to watch this fun game! Happy Winter Week!
Lunch Kiosk Closed (12/16/24-12/20/24)
The lunch kiosk will be closed for the rest of the calendar year. Lunch will be served in the cafeteria ONLY
Here are the club meetings happening this week:
FCA: TOMORROW, December 19th at the pool during lunch. Bring some friends to enjoy some pizza and to learn about the word of God.
LEO Club: A new project was just posted in Google Classroom. Please be sure to fill out the form even if you can't attend. This new project is a fun one so we hope you can attend, even if it's just for part of the time! Again, new project in Google Classroom. Please fill out the form!
WHAT’S NEW VIKINGS?
Alumni College Fair (12/17/24-12/19/24)
TOMORROW, Thursday, December 19th, some of our Hilo High School graduates will be in the lower patio during lunch to share their college experiences with us in an Alumni College Fair! There will be students presenting information about their colleges in: Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and of course Hilo. Come by the lower patio during lunch to meet them and ask them questions about their schools and their college experiences so far!
ACE Semester Celebration (12/16/24-12/23/24)
Hey ACE students!! Save the date for Thursday, January 23rd! On that day, during lunch, if you have a 95% attendance rate, no F's for your 1st semester grades, you will get a ticket to come and have ice shave during lunch! Location will be announced later. You need to bring your ID on that day to get ice shave!
Seniors! These next few announcements are for you:
Song Practice Dates (12/18/24-12/21/24)
This is crucial information, so please listen up. Song practice will begin on Monday, January 27, 2024, and here are some reminders for you: Report directly to the pool after period 2 ends. Song practices are during morning recess & STARS. Please sit in your assigned seats, as attendance is mandatory and will be taken. Attendance still applies even if you have a modified schedule. Take the time to listen to your class song over break!

We are thrilled to announce this year’s prom theme: Rustic Romance! Get ready for an enchanting evening filled with warmth, charm, and unforgettable memories.
Be sure to check the list posted outside Ms. Switzer’s room (A-16) for any outstanding obligations that must be cleared before picking up your Junior Prom packet, starting January 7.

Color Fun Run (12/13/24-12/20/24)
Hey Vikings! We’re excited to announce an upcoming event that you won’t want to miss!
Join us for the 2024 Color Fun Run happening on Sunday, December 22, at 3:30 PM. This vibrant event is all about fun and fitness.
Packet pick-up and race-day registration is from 2:30–3:30 PM, right before the event.
Register online or drop off your registration form by Friday, December 20.
You can still register on race day, just note that drawstring bags may not be guaranteed.
Advisory Challenge Alert! The advisory class that brings in the most participants will win a pizza party for the whole class!
Why participate? This event supports our junior and senior classes, with funds also paying it forward to the Veterans Home of Hilo.
