Good Morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. My name is Van. The periods today are 2, 4 and 6.
Seniors! These next few announcements are for you:
Senior Song Practice (1/22/25-1/27/25)
Song practice will begin on Monday, January 27, 2025. Here are some reminders for you: Please report directly to the pool after period 2 ends. Song practices are during morning recess & STARS. Look for the tape that will be plastered on the bleachers with your name written on top, and sit in your assigned seats as attendance is mandatory and will be taken. Lastly, if you have a modified schedule, you are still expected to attend. Let's start practicing seniors!
Senior Prom Packet Pickup (1/15/25-1/24/25)
Save the date! Senior Prom: A Tale as Old as Time will be held on Saturday, March 1st at Nani Mau Gardens. Packet distribution will be from January 22-24. Please ensure all obligations are cleared before picking up a packet. Thank you!
WHAT’S NEW VIKINGS?
Nalukai Academy Summer (1/22/25-1/24/25)
Nalukai Academy Summer is an intensive social, cultural, and commercial entrepreneurship boarding program for Hawaiʻi high school students. Students receive guidance from industry experts, community leaders, and cultural practitioners to explore local issues, develop innovative solutions, and pitch their ideas to community stakeholders. Tuition, room and board are covered for all admitted students, who will also receive a professional-grade laptop they may keep upon completion of the program. This year’s program will be held in Honolulu from June 20th - 29th (full details to be released in February). The application can be accessed by the link and from our website at nalukai.org. Student applications and letters of recommendation (one required for each student) must be submitted by April 14th.

Yearbook Pre-Orders (1/13/25-1/24/25)
Hey Vikings! Haven't ordered a yearbook yet? Well, you're in luck! The last day to pre-order yearbooks is January 24th, 2025. Yearbooks are $50 and payment goes to Mrs. Blair in L-5. If you do not pre-order a yearbook, it will be first come first serve when the yearbooks arrive. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Blair at [email protected].
Tennis Tryouts (1/13/25-1/24/25)
To all students interested in trying out for Tennis this spring, your physical needs to be done in order to tryout. Returnees- your physical CANNOT be expired. Please do not procrastinate! No physical, no tryouts! Forms can be picked up from the front office or from coach Leanne in F-Bldg. Thanks!
ASVAB Testing (1/13/25-1/24/25)
All 10th-12th graders, the next ASVAB administration is on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The test will be administered in C-217 and will start promptly at 8:00 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB.

The number of test-takers per session is 20 on a first come first served basis.
Reserve your spot by Friday, January 24, 2025.
