Career Fair Announcement (2/6-2/7/25)

Good morning, Vikings! I'm excited to tell you about our Career Fair happening this Friday, February 7th during pd 4. It is still an EVEN Friday, so please report to every EVEN class as usual. Your teachers all have the schedule, and know when to start bringing your pd 4 class down to the New Gym.

When attending the fair, I encourage you to make your way around to talk to the presenters who are taking time out of their schedules to be here with us. I'm providing you with a worksheet for you to reflect on 3 different possible careers, but I know you will meet more than 3. Right now, I have 38 confirmed presenters attending, and they will have tables set up both inside and outside of the New Gym. Remember to be the respectful students that I know you are, and make the most of this opportunity. Have a great day and see you at the Career Fair!

[Credit Union Video] (2/7/25-2/13/25)

Have you ever wondered how your money can grow just by sitting in your account? That’s the power of dividends! When you put money in a savings account, a credit union pays you dividends—basically, they reward you for saving. Over time, those dividends add up, helping you reach your financial goals faster!

But here’s the real question: Why choose a credit union, like the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union? Unlike banks, credit unions are not-for-profit, meaning they focus on helping YOU. At a credit union, you will not only get dividends but lower fees… and of course, joining our HAWAII COMMUNITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION allows you to educate yourself and gain money management skills in HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Joining a credit union is a smart move to take charge of your financial future! Start small, save big, and watch your money work for you.

If you have questions or want to open an account, stop by our Hilo High Student Credit Union in front of room A-13! And stay tuned for more Financial Fridays to come, you guessed it... every Friday! And catch all our financial advice on the Hilo High INSTAGRAM!!!
