Good Morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Tuesday, February 11th, 2025. My name is Kai. The periods today are 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Welcome to the first day of Traffic Safety Week! Today’s theme is Feel Good, Drive Good—highlighting how emotions impact driving. Studies show that nearly 1 in 5 drivers experience anger or aggression behind the wheel, putting everyone at risk. Driving while upset or overwhelmed can be just as dangerous as other distractions. To raise awareness, the Traffic Safety committee will be conducting random interviews about emotional driving—so keep an eye out for them! They’d love to hear your thoughts. Stay safe and drive smart, Vikings!

Senior Prom Packet Collection (2/3/25-2/11/25)
Seniors! Today is the LAST DAY to turn in your Senior Prom packet and bid. The first 50 guest packets to be submitted with a sponsoring senior packet will be accepted. Seat selection is based on the day your packet is submitted, the earlier the better. Please note that incomplete packets will not be accepted.
Hawaiian Club Meeting (2/7/25-2/11/25)
Aloha Hawaiian Club Members! There will be a meeting during lunch recess on TODAY, February 11th. Please see Kumu 'Awa for a pass to grab lunch before going. The meeting will be in her room, K101. Mahalo!
LEO Club (2/7/25-2/11/25)
ATTENTION ALL LEO CLUB MEMBERS AND OFFICERS!!! A new project was put into Google Classroom today. Please fill out the Google Form and let Ms. T know if you can attend the project. The club needs as many people to participate in this project as possible, so please sign up for as many shifts as you can! Even if you can't attend, fill out the form! Again, a new project is in Google Classroom, so PLEASE fill out the Google Form.

Boys Volleyball Tryouts (2/3/25-2/11/25)
Tryouts continue TODAY thru Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the new gym. You must have a current physical on file with the athletics office in order to try out. Please make sure you have the proper clothing attire and shoes to participate.
Boys AND Girls Tennis Tryouts (2/6/25-2/11/25)
Tryouts for BOTH boys AND girls Tennis continue TODAY thru Wednesday Feb. 12 from 4-6pm across the street at the Hilo Intermediate courts. Be sure to have your physicals submitted in order to try-out. No Physical, No Tryouts.
Track & Field tryouts (2/6/25-2/14/25)
Tryouts For ALL athletes and ALL events have begun for Track & Field. Please report to the Track Monday-Friday for practice/tryouts at 3:30pm. If you are currently in a winter sport, please report after your season is over.
WHAT’S NEW VIKINGS?
Quarter 4 Bus Pass Applications (2/11/25-2/21/25)
The application window for Quarter 4 bus passes is now open until March 28th. If you would like to ride for the fourth quarter, you can submit your application online or pickup and return a paper copy at the main office. Those of you who have a Quarter 3 bus pass may still ride until Spring Break, or March 14th. If you have any questions, please stop by the office.
Art Club Valentine’s Day Party (2/11/25-2/14/25)
Hey Art Club Members! You will be having your Valentine’s Day Party on Friday, February 14th, 2025 after school from 1:30 to 3 PM in Ms Z’s room, L-4! If you wish to bring any potluck items, don’t be afraid to do so. Mahalo!
