Good Morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Wednesday, February 26th, 2025. My name is Aly. The periods today are 2, 4, and 6.

 

HERE ARE THE CLUB MEETINGS HAPPENING THIS WEEK:

 

FCA Meeting (2/26/25-2/27/25)

There is an FCA Meeting TOMORROW, Thursday, February 27th at the pool during lunch. Please attend and bring a friend to enjoy some pizza along with spreading the word of God. You don’t have to be a Christian or an athlete to attend.

 

PAAC Meeting (2/26/25-2/27/25)

PAAC Club will be hosting a meeting TOMORROW, Thursday February 27th at lunch in Ms. Nolan’s Room in BB-201. You will be going over possible projects and voting on which ones you like best. Feel free to get lunch first and remember to bring a friend!

 

Math Meet (2/25/25-2/27/25)

Viking Math-letes! There will be a meet this Saturday morning, March 1st, at Waiakea High School at 9am. Please respond to Mr. Young's email regarding your availability. Mr. Young will also be in his room on Tuesday and Thursday after school for some practice before the meet. The practice makes a difference. Hope to see you at practice and the meet. Go Viking Math-letes!!!

 

 WHAT’S NEW VIKINGS?

 

ACT Testing (2/26/25-3/6/25)

Get ready Vikings! Thursday, March 6th will be A C T and Pre-A C T testing.

All 9th and 10th graders will be taking the Pre-A C T test in their stars advisory class.

All 11th graders will be taking the ACT test in the NEW gym.

 

Things to bring...

A number 2 pencil, Water, snacks, an approved calculator which is optional.

Get a good night's sleep, Eat a healthy breakfast, and Arrive early to give yourself time to relax

Please come to school on time. Once testing has started you will not be allowed in the testing room.

 

Junior Parent Night (2/26/25-2/27/25)

Class of 2026! Just a reminder that Junior Parent Night is this Thursday, February 27th at 5:30pm in the Cafeteria. Parents or guardians are invited to join for information about class activities and how to be best prepared for Senior Year and beyond. Hope to see you there!

 

 HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN CAREER AND COLLEGE COUNSELING OFFICE

 

Speaker Sessions (2/26/25-3/4/25)

The Career and College Counseling office is excited to invite you to TWO speaker sessions scheduled for next week. On Tuesday, March 4th, there will be a presentation about the Air Force ROTC Scholarship during pd 1 at 8:30am. Please see Mrs. Frius in N-103 for a pass to attend.

 

And on Friday, March 7th, the Army National Guard will have a table in the patio during lunch. Please swing by to ask questions and find out how the National Guard can help you to build a bright future!

 

Spring College Fair (2/25/25-2/28/25)

The Spring College Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5th during period 4 at Kamehameha Schools’ Keaau campus. If you are serious about attending, please see Mrs. Frius in N-103 to pick up a field trip form. We will be taking one bus, so the first 45 students to submit their forms will have a seat on the bus. Hope to see you there!

STAR ATTENDANCE DATES (2/3/25-5/19/25)

This semester's STAR Attendance Classes will resume TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 2pm-4pm in the Cafeteria. The full STAR Attendance schedule is up on the screen.

Hilo High Judo Team (2/18/25-2/28/25)

Are you still interested in joining the Hilo High Boys & Girls Judo Team? Last day to join will be February 28, 2025. Those who are currently playing a Winter Sport and are interested in joining the judo team, please report to judo practice as soon as your season is done.

 

PALC Variety Show (2/21/25-3/7/25)

Wanna see some of our school’s talent? Well you're in luck! PALC will be having their Variety show on March 7th, and 8th, show starts at 7PM. Entry is $5 per person, cash only! Can’t wait to see you there!
