WHAT’S NEW VIKINGS?
Freshman Volunteer Opportunity (4/1/25-4/7/25)
Attention Freshman! Make a difference and help the graduating class celebrate their achievement by being part of the Graduation Setup Crew! Your class is looking for volunteers to assist with setting up on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 2:30- 5:00 at Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium. If you’re interested, please pick up a form from R13 (Mrs. Blythʻs).
Summer Credit Recovery Program for Current HHS Students (3/31/25-4/4/25)
Looking to catch up or explore new learning opportunities this summer? The Hilo High School Summer Program is here to help! Designed for grades 10-12, this program offers credit recovery and enrichment courses in a supportive, success-driven environment. Students are encouraged to consult their counselors before applying. Don’t miss out—the application link closes on May 2, 2025! Also, Limited bus transportation is available! Students needing transportation must submit a separate application by April 18, 2025. Cap and Gown Reminders (3/27/25-4/1/25)
Seniors! As commencement gets closer, here are a few reminders for your cap and gowns:
- hang up your gown and cool iron-only to get the wrinkles out
- caps may NOT be decorated
- no external adornment may be worn
- keep your tassel with your cap so you don’t lose it
The final day to order your cap and gown is Friday, April 4, 2025.
Lunch Line Reminder (3/28/25-4/1/25)
No one likes long lines to pick up lunch. Speed up the process by having your school ID ready! As a reminder, it is school policy to have your ID on-person at all times. Request a copy of your ID from the main office for $1 per reprint, or have it ready on the Hilo High App.

ASVAB Testing (3/25/25-4/4/25)
All 10th-12th graders, the last ASVAB administration for this school year is on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025. The test will be administered in C-217 and will start promptly at 8:00 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB.
Email Mrs. Fukushima to reserve your spot. The number of test-takers per session is 20 on a first come first served basis. Reserve your spot by April 4, 2025.
Commencement Speakers Needed (3/26/25-4/4/25)
