HERE ARE THE CLUB MEETINGS HAPPENING THIS WEEK

 

KVIKS Media (4/2/25-4/3/25)

ATTENTION ALL KVIKS MEDIA MEMBERS! This is a reminder that our Special General Meeting is TOMORROW, THURSDAY, April 3rd, in C-215 during lunch. YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT! We will be swearing in our Interim Officers. If you wish to get lunch before the meeting, please pick up a lunch slip in C-117. Mahalo!

 

Filipino Club (4/2/25-4/3/25)

Mabuhay (ma-boo-high), Filipino Club members! There will be a general meeting TOMORROW, Thursday, April 3rd during lunch recess at Mr. Caceres room, A-21 to discuss future activities and to bond more with our members. Please bring a friend with you. Salamat! (Sah-Lah-matt)

WHAT’S NEW VIKINGS?

 

Senior Week (4/2/25-4/11/25)

Hey Seniors! It's time for Senior week! From Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 11, your dress-up days are:

Monday: Senior Whiteout! Dress up in all white, and at lunch, there will be a watercolor fight!

Tuesday: Iconic duo- dress up as an iconic duo, such as Batman & Robin or Spongebob & Patrick

Wednesday: Dress to your beat! Dress up as your music tastes- for example: if you like rap, dress up as a rapper, and join in front of the auditorium for a game of musical chairs during lunch!

Thursday: Future Career Day! What do you want to be when you grow up? Dress up as what you want to do.

Friday: Class colors! Wear your class shirt or class colors (white and gold) and come to the front of the auditorium during lunch for ice cream!

 

Freshman Volunteer Opportunity (4/1/25-4/7/25)

Attention Freshman! Make a difference and help the graduating class celebrate their achievement by being part of the Graduation Setup Crew! Your class is looking for volunteers to assist with setting up on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 2:30- 5:00 at Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium. If you’re interested, please pick up a form from R13 (Mrs. Blythʻs).  

 

Summer Credit Recovery Program for Current Hilo High School Students (3/31/25-5/23/25)

Looking to catch up or explore new learning opportunities this summer? The Hilo High School Summer Program is here to help! Designed for grades 10-12, this program offers credit recovery and enrichment courses in a supportive, success-driven environment. Students are encouraged to consult their counselors before applying. Don’t miss out—the application link closes on May 2, 2025! Also, Limited bus transportation is available! Students needing transportation must submit a separate application by April 18, 2025. Scan the QR codes on the screen or visit the Hilo high website to get started!

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

ASVAB Testing (3/25/25-4/4/25)

All 10th-12th graders, the last ASVAB administration for this school year is on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025. The test will be administered in C-217 and will start promptly at 8:00 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB.

Email Mrs. Fukushima to reserve your spot. The number of test-takers per session is 20 on a first come first served basis. Reserve your spot by April 4, 2025.

 

Commencement Speakers Needed (3/26/25-4/4/25)

Attention Juniors! Do you enjoy public speaking? The Class of 2025 is looking for a Master or Mistress of Ceremonies (MC) for their commencement ceremony. If you are interested, please see Ms. Arbles in Room A-22 by April 4, 2025 to sign up. Thank you for your contribution, juniors!
