(8/29-9/2) Hawaiian Club members! You will be having a meeting TODAY, September 2nd, in K101, Kumu ʻAwaʻs room, during lunch. New members are still being accepted. Bring your registration form if one was picked up. Please grab your lunch early and come as soon as you can so you can start learning your chant.
What’s New Vikings?
(8/27-9/10) It's the moment you've all been waiting for—Homecoming! This year’s theme is “Our Story on Screen”, celebrating the magic of musicals and our year-long theme: “It’s a Kakou Thing”. Homecoming week runs from October 20–24. Interested in Homecoming Court? Pick up a packet in Ms. Switzer’s room, A-17, from August 27–September 10. Completed packets are also due September 10. Let’s make this a homecoming to remember!
This Week in the Career and College Counseling Office
UH Hilo representative Kip Nagata will be presenting on Thursday, September 4th at 11:30am during Pd 5.
Northern Arizona University representative Abby Leigh Tudor will be here on Monday, September 8th at 8:30am during pd 2
and
University of Puget Sound representative Robin Ai-jian will also be here on Monday, September 8th at 12:15pm during pd 6
If you are interested in attending any of these informational sessions, please see Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias in N-103 to sign up and pick up a pass. Remember to get your corresponding teacher's signature and permission in order to attend.
In Case You Missed It Vikings
(8/25-9/5) The next ASVAB for 10th–12th graders is Tuesday, September 9, in C-217 at 8:00 AM. Students interested in planning on joining the military post-high school must take this test. Email Mrs. Fukushima at [email protected] to reserve your spot by September 5. Space is limited to 20 students, first come, first served.
(8/25-9/22) Have your permit and want to get your license? Sign up for Driver Education classes! Go to the HHS website, click on 'Programs & Activities', select 'Driver Ed', and click on 'click here to sign up for Driver Ed'. Click on 'Student Enrollment Form' for Hilo High School, and fill out the Google form. The next class starts in October. Watch your email, because if you miss the RSVP email, you will need to sign up again!
