Good Morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Thursday, September 4th, 2025. My name is Wanvisa, and the periods today are 1, 3, 5, and 7.

(9/4) Kamusta, Filipino Club members! There will be a meeting TODAY, September 4th, during lunch in A-23 at Mr. Caceres' room. Salamat, and see you there.

 

This Week in the Career and College Counseling Office

 

UH Hilo representative Kip Nagata will be presenting TODAY, Thursday, September 4th at 11:30am during Pd 5.

Northern Arizona University representative Abby Leigh Tudor will be here on Monday, September 8th at 8:30am during pd 2

and

University of Puget Sound representative Robin Aijian will also be here on Monday, September 8th at 12:15pm during pd 6

 

If you are interested in attending any of these informational sessions, please see Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias in N-103 to sign up and pick up a pass.  Remember to get your corresponding teacher's signature and permission in order to attend.

 

What’s New Vikings?

 

(9/4-9/5) There will be a HOSA meeting TOMORROW, Friday, September 5th, in Mr. Assi’s room (L-2). Please don’t forget to bring your $15 dues. You will be discussing important upcoming events and opportunities.

 

(9/4-9/17) The Blood Bank of Hawaii is returning to Hilo from September 16th to the 18th to hold a blood drive! Just one donation can save up to three lives!

Donating blood is a powerful way to make a difference. It's crucial for surgeries, emergency care, and for patients with chronic illnesses. Younger donors are especially important for keeping our blood supply strong and diverse to meet the needs of all patients.

Donations will be by appointment only and will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hilo located at 1373 Kilauea Avenue.

The drive will be held on the following days and times:

September 16th from 9 AM to 7 PM

September 17th from 8 AM to 6 PM

September 18th from 6 AM to 3 PM

To be eligible to donate, you must be at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. Other restrictions that can be found on the website.

All staff and admin are also encouraged and invited to donate! Each student donor will be given a reward!

On the screen, the QR code on the left provides more information about eligibility and the drive, while the QR code on the right is for making appointments.

 

In Case You Missed It Vikings

 

(8/25-9/5) The next ASVAB for 10th–12th graders is Tuesday, September 9, in C-217 at 8:00 AM. Students interested in planning on joining the military post-high school must take this test. Email Mrs. Fukushima at [email protected] to reserve your spot by TOMORROW, September 5th. Space is limited to 20 students, first come, first served.

September 6 - Air Riflery @ Kamehameha at 9am AND Cross Country @ HPA also at 9am
