This Week in the Career and College Counseling Office
TOMORROW is a busy day for college visits at Hilo High!
Dylan Matsuda from UH Manoa will be here at 8:30am during pd 1
Kapili Mo-niz from Pitzer College in California will be here at 10:30am during pd 3
and Whitney Bon-ner and Louisa Duley from Colorado Mesa and Colorado Schools of Mines will be here together at 1:00pm during pd 7.
Please see Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias in N-103 to sign up and pick up a pass to attend any of the sessions. Remember that students in any grade are welcome to attend these sessions - all you need is your corresponding teacher's signature on the pass!
What’s New Vikings?
(10/15-10/16) There is a Filipino Club Meeting TOMORROW, October 16th during Lunch In Mr Caceres’ Room A-23.
(10/14-11/10) Boys varsity and junior varsity basketball tryouts will be held on November 10th thru Nov 12th from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the new gym. All athletes trying out will need to fill out the required athlete forms found on the Hilo High website under the athletics tab.
In addition, players are also required to sign up for tryouts in Building F, room 85.
(10/13-10/17) A second round of Federal Impact Aid surveys were distributed on Monday. If you received one, don't forget to turn them in! You can either bring them to the main office or give them to your teacher.

(10/3-10/15) Anyone interested in diving? Do you have a current physical? Do you like trying new things? Join the Hilo High School Dive Team, starting Oct 15th at Kawa-moto Pool. For more information please stop by N101, Ms. Naukana's classroom during recess this week until Oct 15th.
(10/15-10/16) Swimming
Hilo high school varsity swimming will be having a short meeting for all interested athletes this Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the pool during lunch at 12:25pm
