(1/27-1/30) Mock trial club will be having a meeting TODAY, January 28 and Friday, January 30 at Ms. Baum's room, A-17 during lunch recess. Attendance is mandatory.
(1/23-1/28) Junior prom packet turn-in continues TODAY and ends on the 29th. Please bring exact cash! If you are bringing a guest, you need to turn in your packet and your guest’s packet together.
(1/22-1/28) The open art exhibit featuring items from the Honolulu Museum of Art ends TODAY during lunch in Ms. Z's room (L-4). No food or drink permitted inside the exhibit. Come check it out, you won't want to miss it!
Here’s What’s New Vikings
(1/27-2/17) Goodwill Hawaii will be offering Free Job Readiness Workshops, designed to help you refresh existing skills and build a strong foundation for professional growth. This workshop is open to any high school student 16 years and older, and community members 18 years and older. Morning and Afternoon workshops are available and run from February 17th to the 19th at 9am to 10am OR 4pm to 5pm. Please follow the QR code to sign up. Attendance will be recorded once you register. Space is limited; don’t hesitate to sign up!
(1/28-1/29) Hoʻāla Academy Students, TOMORROW, January 29 is your Academy Open House in the Hilo High School cafeteria. Come learn about different career opportunities from our community members. Doors open at 5:00pm. Hope to see you there.

(1/26-1/29) There will be an FCA meeting this Thursday, January 29, at the pool during lunch. The guest speaker and pizza sponsor will be Coach Mike Diaz from Arise Church. Bring a friend to enjoy pizza, hang out, and learn about the word of God.
(1/26-1/30) Are you interested in shaping the future of Hilo High? By serving as a student representative in the School Community Council, you will create connections with alumni, administration, and teachers, and participate in discussions deciding the future of our school. If you are a current Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior interested in serving as a student representative for the Hilo High SCC, please contact River Flynn at [email protected]
(1/8-2/4) The PreACT is scheduled for March 2 to 6, 2026. It is FREE and ONLY open to current 9th and 10th graders currently attending Hilo High School. This practice test is recommended for students planning to attend college and prepare for the real ACT. Test dates will depend on the amount of students signed up. Register by Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at hilohigh.org/preact26.
