Today at Hilo High School
(2/18-2/26) Ho‘oulu Academy students! The next value of the week from February 17–27, is Kuleana, meaning responsibility. Students are encouraged to show kuleana by taking ownership of learning, following through on commitments, being accountable for actions, caring for shared spaces and the ʻāina, and leading by positive example. 5 lucky students who demonstrate the value will be chosen to receive a free Ice Cake!
Here’s What’s New Vikings
(2/19-2/20) There will be an informational meeting for Surf Team athletes who need to earn a Junior Lifeguard Certificate on Friday, February 20, in Room C-219 during lunch. This certificate is required to participate on the Surf Team. A Junior Lifeguard course will be offered on Monday, February 23. All athletes who need this certification should attend the informational meeting on Friday.

(2/17-2/27) Did you pick up an intent to participate form for mayday? There will be an informational meeting on Friday, February 27th in Ms. Whitehall's room, C-121. See you there!
(2/17-2/25) Juniors! ACT test day is almost here and will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the New Gym. Check-in begins at 7:40 a.m. Do not be late! Once testing begins, no one will be admitted. Be sure to bring a school ID for check-in, along with pencils/pens, snacks, water, and an approved calculator if needed. All electronic devices must be powered off and stored in a bag. Get a full night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, and arrive early to stay calm and focused.
