(3/3-3/6) Seniors! Itʻs the last week before prom! Donʻt forget that bid pickup and seat selection continues TODAY and ends TOMORROW, March 6th outside of Ms. Switzer's room A-16. Remember if you are bringing a guest they are going to be sitting with you. Be sure to go early and secure your spot!
(3/3-3/5) LEO Club members! There is going to be a meeting TODAY, in Ms. T’s room C217B. You will be going over upcoming projects. Hope to see you there!
(3/5-3/6) The Kakou Store is open TODAY and TOMORROW during lunchtime. Use your Kakou Cash to purchase snacks like chips, ice creams, seaweed, granola bars, etc. There are gently used and new clothing (including PROM dresses). Students can buy school supplies and gifts. Thank-you teachers for rewarding our amazing Hilo High students for displaying VIKING PRIDE!

(3/4-3/13) Are you interested in being a vendor for this year's May day (Night show)? your club or sport is interested in being a vendor please contact Ms. Kahihikolo-Periera, Mr. Peralta, or Ms. Whitehall as soon as possible. You must be a Hilo High school club, sport, or class. Spots are filling up quickly.
(3/4-3/6) ALSO, For those interested in May Day court support, like a kahili bearer or conch shell blower, please come to Ms.Whitehall’s room C-121at lunch this friday March 6. Mahalo
(3/4-3/6) Support the Hilo High Surf Team this Saturday at Honoliʻi for the first BIIFs Surf Meet. Surf Heats start early, so bring your beach chair, sunglasses and sunscreen--and get ready to see some shredding and style surf action. Root on HHS Surf as they challenge other surf teams from around the Big Island.
(3/3-3/6) Ho‘oulu Academy, there’s still a chance to win a free Ice Cake! Five students who demonstrate the Value of the Week are selected each week. From March 2-13, the focus is Mālama, which means to care for, protect, and nurture our people, spaces, programs, and ʻāina. Mālama builds on Kuleana—if Kuleana is understanding responsibility, Mālama is putting it into action every day. Teachers and staff are encouraged to recognize students who show Mālama in the weeks ahead.

(3/2-3/6) Bus Riders, the application window for Qtr. 4 is now open! Please remember to apply as soon as possible! You can either apply online or pick up a paper application from the main office.
(3/2-3/6) PALC will be holding their second annual Variety Show this Friday, March 6, 2026 in the Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30PM and the show starts at 7PM. Admission is $5 at the door, cash only. Please come and enjoy the amazing talents our students have to offer!
This Week in the Career and College Counseling Office
A group of representatives from 4 different colleges in New Zealand will be visiting Hilo High School TOMORROW, March 6 during pd 3. If you are interested in attending the session, please see Ms. Lawrence or Mrs. Frias in N-103 to sign up and pick up a pass. Your pd 3 teacher will need to sign your pass to give you permission to attend.
