Good morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Friday, March 27th, 2026. My name is Sarah and I’m Ms. Laliberte. Today's periods are 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Today at Hilo High School
(3/25-3/27) The Kakou Store will be open TODAY March 27. Students can come in with Kakou Cash and purchase snacks, drinks, school supplies, clothing, and even games and magic tricks. Teachers please give Kakou Cash to students when they are doing a good job.
(3/23-3/27) Konnichiwa Japan Club members! Starting TODAY, bon dance practice will be held every Friday during lunch and after school on odd Fridays. These practices are in preparation for the upcoming bon dance season beginning in June. Hope to see you there!
Here’s What’s New Vikings
(3/25-4/1) For those who picked up an intent-to-perform packet for May Day, don’t forget to submit it by Wednesday, April 1st to Ms. Whitehall in Room C121. Mahalo
(3/24-4/2) All 10th-12th graders, the next ASVAB administration is on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026. The test will be in C-217 and will start at 8:00 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB. Email Mrs. Fukushima at [email protected] to reserve your spot.
The number of test-takers per session is 20 on a first come first served basis.
Reserve your spot by April 2, 2026.
(3/25) ATTENTION ALL LEO CLUB MEMBERS!!! Two new projects were posted in Google Classroom. Please fill out each form. A strong turnout is needed, so sign up if possible. Complete the form even if attendance isn’t possible. Be responsible LEOs and inform Ms. T about attendance.
In Case You Missed it Vikings
(3/23-3/30) Girls interested in playing basketball next year are invited to attend skill workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00pm to 7:45pm, where you will be working on dribbling, passing, shooting, and footwork while building skills for the upcoming season.
(3/23-3/31) If you are planning to take an online summer school course through Hawaii Online Courses, the registration opens on Tuesday, March 31st at 12:00 pm. Your parents must register you, and courses fill up quickly on a first come-first served basis. Please see your counselor ahead of the March 31st registration date to inform them of the summer course you plan to take. Please remember that these online courses affect your high school transcript and GPA, so before registering for an online course, be sure that you can commit to completing the work and doing your best.
