[KVIKS NEWS BULLETIN INTRO]

Good morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Monday, April 6th, 2026. My name is Caleb. Today's periods are 2, STARS, 4, and 6.

Here’s What’s New Vikings

(4/6-4/8) Here are the upcoming Attendance Cultivates Excellence, or ACE, sessions. If you have five or more unexcused tardies or absences during Quarter 3, those days must be made up during ACE in the cafeteria. ACE will be held on:

Wednesday, April 8

Saturday, April 18

Wednesday, April 22

Saturday, April 25

Wednesday, April 29

and Wednesday, May 6

Wednesday sessions run from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, and Saturday sessions run from 8:00 AM to 12:20 PM. Remember, you must attend at least two consecutive sessions, bring your student ID, have schoolwork or a book to read, and keep phones silenced and in your bag.

No late entry is allowed, so be on time! Let's stay on track and finish the quarter strong!

(4/6-4/16) Seniors! Graduation season is just around the corner, and this is a chance to be recognized for all your hard work throughout high school. If you’ve been involved in service to our school and community, consider applying for the Senior Service Awards to be recognized for your dedication and contributions. To apply, scan the QR code to access the interest form, and just a reminder, the last day to submit that interest form is April 16th, 2025! Thank you!

In Case You Missed it Vikings

(4/1-4/13) The Hilo High Senior Summit and CTE Fair is coming up! This is a chance to learn about the career pathways available on campus and see the work of students in work-based learning programs. Students, families, and community members are welcome to attend.

The event will be on Wednesday, April 15, from 4 to 6 PM at the Hilo High main campus. Please RSVP at bit.ly/seniorsummithhs. Food will be available for purchase from Ishida’s Kitchen and Ala’s Smash Burgers. Don’t miss this chance to see students in action and explore future pathways!
