[KVIKS NEWS BULLETIN INTRO]

Good morning Vikings! This is your K-V-I-K-S News Bulletin for Wednesday, April 8th, 2026. My name is Wanvisa. Today's periods are 2, 4, and 6.

Today at Hilo High School

(4/8) Aloha May Day performers, this is a reminder that performer screening will be held in the new gym TODAY from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.

(4/6-4/8) There is an ACE session TODAY, Wednesday, April 8, in the cafeteria. If you have five or more unexcused tardies or absences during Quarter 3, those days must be made up during ACE. Other session dates are shown on the screen. Wednesday sessions run from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, and Saturday sessions run from 8:00 AM to 12:20 PM.

Remember, at least two consecutive sessions are required. Bring a student ID, along with schoolwork or a book to read. Phones must be silenced and kept in bags. No late entry is allowed, so be on time. Let's stay on track and finish the quarter strong!

Here’s What’s New Vikings

(4/8-410) Here is a field trip opportunity open to students in grades 9 to 11. There will be a College Fair on Tuesday, April 14th during pd 3. If you are interested, this fair will be a chance for you to get information from college representatives from all around the United States.  Please see Ms. Lawrence or Ms. Frias in N-103 to pick up a field trip form.  The first 90 students to return their signed form will earn a seat on the bus.

(4/7-4/8) ATTENTION ALL LEO CLUB MEMBERS! There are three projects posted in Google Classroom, and many members have not filled out the Google Form yet. Ms. T needs to know how many will be attending the upcoming projects. If you don't fill out  the forms, there can't be a productive club. So, please fill out the forms! Again, there are three projects and forms to fill out. Thank you!

(4/6-4/16) Seniors! Graduation season is just around the corner, and this is a chance to be recognized for all your hard work throughout high school. If you’ve been involved in service to our school and community, consider applying for the Senior Service Awards to be recognized for your dedication and contributions. To apply, scan the QR code to access the interest form, and just a reminder, the last day to submit that interest form is April 16th, 2026! Thank you!
