Ceramics Club Meeting (8/14-8/17)
Do you want to make ceramic items but didn't get a ceramics class this year? Don't worry, you can join the Ceramics Club! The first meeting is TODAY, August 17th, during lunch in Mrs. Mant's room, C-101. Information and the Google Classroom class code will be provided at the meeting.
Japan Club Meeting (8/13-8/17)
Ohayo Gozaimasu to all returning Japan Club members, and good morning to any students interested in joining! Japan Club will be having a general membership meeting TODAY, August 17th, during lunch recess in Shehata Sensei's classroom, Room P-3. They will go over club activities, dues, fees, and more! See you there, mata ne!

Ice Cake Sales (8/17)
The culinary arts students are beginning ice cake sales during recess and lunch only. Ice cakes are $1 each and Flavors include: vanilla, Melona, strawberry, orange, root beer, and li hing peach. Come by L-1 and get one today!
Senior Mob Shot (8/17-9/22)
SENIORS! The date for Senior Mob shot has been decided! Please come to school with your completed signs on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026. Mob shot will take place in the New Gym during your Advisory class and your sign will need to meet these speci-fications in order to be included: Your sign should not be any larger than 24 by 18 inches, your sign must contain ONLY appropriate subjects like Name, Love, and Place, and your sign must NOT contain any cursing or profanity, contraband, or inappropriate themes. If your sign fails to meet one or more of these speci-fications, it will not be permitted.
Filipino Club Meeting (8/17-8/20)
Interested in Filipino culture, fun events, and making new friends? The Filipino Club is kicking off the year with their very first general meeting! New members are welcome to attend and sign up. The meeting will be on Thursday, August 20th, during lunch in Room A-23.
Hilo Viking Robotics Team (8/17-8/20)
As Club Rush approaches, consider joining the Hilo Viking Robotics Club! Practices have already started after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in H-Building, and they are looking forward to meeting interested new members. Hilo High Pride Club (8/17-8/20)
Looking for a safe, fun, and supportive space on campus? The Hilo High Pride Club invites you to their first meeting! Whether you identify as LGBTQIA+ or are an ally who wants to show support and learn more, everyone is welcome. Join on Thursday, August 20th, during lunch in Ms. War-acka's classroom, BB-202, for friendly conversations and community building. Come as you are!

Youth Car Show Postponed
FYI Vikings, the Youth Car Show announced previously has been postponed to October 3rd, 2026 due to last week’s storm.
(5/22-9/1) It’s time to help create the cover for the 2026–2027 yearbook themed: Rooted to Rise. Submit your artwork for a chance to have your design featured on the yearbook cover. To submit artwork, scan the QR code posted around campus or on the bulletin slides. Submissions close on Tuesday, September 1st, so make sure your artwork is turned in on time. Thank you for helping create this year’s yearbook!
Performing Arts Learning Center
Are you interested in acting, singing, dancing, or just working backstage? PALC sign ups are happening NOW! Form pick ups are located in the Auditorium and Front Office. These are due on August 25th, 2026, which just so happens to be PALC's first meeting! There is an additional Parent Meeting on August 20th, 2026 to go over the events happening throughout the school year. Thank you!

Aloha Viks! Are you hungry after school? The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council, also known as the PAAC Club, will be selling cup noodles after school every Tuesday and Thursday in Shehata Senseiʻs room in P-3 from 2:15 pm to 2:45 pm. This fundraiser will support our trip to the Jeju International Youth Forum in South Korea in October! Thank you!
