Environmental Agents of Change (EAC) Club Meeting (8/31-9/1)

EAC Club will be holding a mandatory meeting TOMORROW, September 1st, during first recess in Mr. Souza's room, C-123. They will be going over planned club activities for the year and discussing officer positions. If you cannot attend or would like to learn more, stop by Room C-123 to see Mr. Souza or email him at [email protected].

Yearbook Cover Design(5/22-9/1) 

Just a reminder that submissions for the 2026–2027 yearbook cover are due TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 1st! This year's theme is "Rooted to Rise." Submit your artwork for a chance to have your design featured on the cover by scanning the QR codes posted around campus or on the bulletin slides. Make sure to get your entries turned in on time!

 

Junior Class Homecoming Sign-up (8/26-9/3)

Panthers! Your Junior Class needs YOU! Homecoming season is here, and your class is building an amazing crew. They’re looking for dancers, artists, decorators, and all kinds of behind‑the‑scenes support to help bring the Junior Class vision to life. Wanna contribute your talent, creativity, and Panther spirit? Sign up via the QR code today.

 

Academic World Quest Informational Meeting (8/27-9/1)

The Academic WorldQuest Competition is an exciting global trivia competition for high school students, in teams of four, to test their international IQ.  The winning team wins an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the National Academic WorldQuest Competition. Come to P-3 Shehata Sensei's Classroom on September 1st to learn more!

 

ASVAB (10/27-9/4)

All 10th-12th graders, the next ASVAB administration is on Thursday, September 10th, 2026. The test will be administered in C-217 and will start promptly at 8:00 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB.

Email Mrs. Fukushima at [email protected] to reserve your spot.

The number of test-takers per session is 20 on a first come first served basis.

Reserve your spot by September 4, 2026.

Are you interested in learning the art and spirit of Taiko? The Hilo High Taiko Club is holding its tryouts on August 26, 27 and September 2, and 3rd. Wednesdays at 3:15 to 4:00 and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:15! Don't miss out on this great opportunity to learn about Taiko playing and other aspects of Japanese culture! Reach out to our Club President Aloura May, Club advisor Shehata Sensei, or visit her classroom in room P-3. Hope to see you there!

Senior Mob Shot (8/17-9/22)

SENIORS! The date for Senior Mob shot has been decided! Please come to school with your completed signs on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026. Mob shot will take place in the New Gym during your Advisory class and your sign will need to meet these specifications in order to be included: Your sign should not be any larger than 24 by 18 inches, your sign must contain ONLY appropriate subjects like Name, Love, and Place, and your sign must NOT contain any cursing or profanity, contraband, or inappropriate themes. If your sign fails to meet one or more of these specifications, it will not be permitted.



[VIDEO] PAAC Ramen Fundraiser

Aloha Viks! Are you hungry after school? The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council, also known as the PAAC Club, will be selling cup noodles after school every Tuesday and Thursday in Shehata Senseiʻs room in P-3 from 2:15 pm to 2:45 pm. This fundraiser will support our trip to the Jeju International Youth Forum in South Korea in October! Thank you!
