Ho'oulu Academy Advisory (9/1-9/2)
Ho'oulu Academy students! TODAY’s advisory classes will meet at the Pool. Please report straight to the Pool when the bell rings at the end of recess. Look for your Advisory Teacher's name on a sign and sit together with your Advisory class. The Ho'oulu Ambassadors will have some announcements and activities for you so be on time and ready to participate!
Homecoming Packet Pick Up and Turn In(9/02-9/04)
Hey Vikings! Interested in running for homecoming court? Pick up a packet at B-34, from today, till the end of the week. The packets are due on Tuesday, September 8th.
Ceramics Club Meeting (9/1-9/2)
If you missed last week's meeting, don't fret, attend this week's Ceramics Club Meeting TODAY during lunch at C-101. Please bring your $10 and join our Google Classroom.
Speech and Debate (9/01-9/02)
A friendly reminder that all Speech and Debate Club members are expected to attend Wednesday practice from 1:30 to 4 in Mrs. Baum's room. Also, club dues are $10 and need to be paid to Mrs Baum or Ryder ASAP.

Do you think you want to go to college after high school, but might not know how to get there? Would you be interested in participating in college activities while still in high school? Then you should check out UH Hilo's Upward Bound program! Upward Bound counselors will be at Hilo High TOMORROW, September 3rd during lunch in Mrs. Frias' room N-103. Stop by to ask questions and learn how to apply. Hope to see you there!

Programming Club Meeting (9/2-9/3)
Whether you’ve been interested in coding for years or are completely new and just curious to see what it’s all about, the Programming Club invites you to their first general meeting! It will be held this Thursday, September 3rd, during lunch in Room R-24, Ms. Carey’s classroom. All interested students are welcome to attend!
Hilo High Pride Club (09/01-09/03)
The Hilo High Pride Club, aka Alphabet Soup, will meet during lunch on Thursday in Ms. Waracka's classroom, BB202. Pride Club is a safe, inclusive space for everyone, and all students are welcome, whether you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally. ASVAB (10/27-9/4)
All 10th-12th graders, the next ASVAB administration is on Thursday, September 10th, 2026. The test will be administered in C-217 and will start promptly at 8:00 AM. If you are planning on joining the military post-high school, you will need to take the ASVAB.
Email Mrs. Fukushima at [email protected] to reserve your spot.
The number of test-takers per session is 20 on a first come first served basis.
Reserve your spot by September 4, 2026.

Are you interested in learning the art and spirit of Taiko? The Hilo High Taiko Club is holding its tryouts on August 26, 27 and September 2, and 3rd. Wednesdays at 3:15 to 4:00 and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:15! Don't miss out on this great opportunity to learn about Taiko playing and other aspects of Japanese culture!
