Senior Mob Shot (8/17-9/22)
Attention Seniors! Senior Mob Shot is happening TODAY, in the New Gym during Advisory! As a reminder, signs must be no larger than 24 by 18 inches and contain appropriate content only. No profanity, contraband, or inappropriate themes. Non-compliant signs will not be permitted.
Picture Taking Makeups (9/15-9/23)
Picture taking makeup will also be happening TODAY, in the LRC. If you ordered photos and were absent for the first picture day, your order will be carried over. If you are taking a makeup photo and would like to order photos, please fill out a printed order form, available in room L-3. Online ordering will not be available.

Girls Soccer Conditioning (9/23-9/30)
Girls Soccer preseason conditioning will begin at OK Farms, located at 1570 Maikalani Street, on the following dates:
Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Please remember to bring running shoes, soccer cleats, shin guards, and water.
Filipino Club (9/22-9/25)
Aloha Filipino Club members! There will be an all-members meeting this Friday, September 25th, during lunch in Mr. Caceres’ room, A-23. Please make sure to attend!
Boys Soccer Sign Ups (9/21-10/12)
Attention all students interested in playing Boys Soccer this school year! Sign-ups are open, and you must sign up using the QR code on the screen in order to participate.Make sure to use your legal first and last name, and ensure you have a completed physical and all required forms uploaded into Rank One. Sign-ups will close on Monday, October 12th, at 3 PM. If you have any questions, stop by Room A-24 to see Coach George or email him at [email protected].
Pre-Register for a Flu Shot (9/23 - 9/25)
KTA Pharmacy is offering flu vaccinations at Hilo High School on Monday, October 26, 2026.

TODAY, September 23rd - University of Portland located in Oregon will be here at 8:15am during pd 2, and Columbia University located in New York will be here at 9:55am during pd 4.
Friday, September 25th - University of Hawai'i at HILO will be here at 10:30am during pd 4
Monday, September 28th - Massachusetts Institute of Technology (also known as MIT) will be here at 8:45am during pd 2.

Dress in your best plaid, flannel, or palaka print.
Wednesday:
Wednesday is Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice.
Wear your favorite fall colors, like brown, cream, red, or orange!
Join us in your festive colors for a pumpkin pie eating contest in the front of the auditorium at lunch!
Thursday:
Thursday is Sweater Weather!
Come to school in your best fall sweater.
Friday:
And finally, Friday is Great Pumpkin Day!
Dress as your favorite Peanuts Character and bring an apple to the front of the auditorium at lunch to make your own caramel apple.

[VIDEO] PAAC Ramen Fundraiser
Aloha Viks! Are you hungry after school? The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council, also known as the PAAC Club, will be selling cup noodles after school every Tuesday and Thursday in Shehata Senseiʻs room in P-3 from 2:15 pm to 2:45 pm. This fundraiser will support our trip to the Jeju International Youth Forum in South Korea in October! Thank you!
Girl’s Basketball Conditioning (9/14-10/30)
Any girls that are interested in playing basketball this upcoming season, conditioning is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:15pm to 7:50pm. And Weightlifting is Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 7pm. For any questions you can contact coach fred collins with the number on the screen.
Junior HOCO Dance Practices (9/14-9/25)
Homecoming dance practice for the Junior class are held on Mondays and Wednesdays during lunch recess in Mr. Baldado's room and after school in the cafeteria until 2:30 p.m. See you there!
[VIDEO] Leo Club
Hey Vikings! The Hilo High LEO Club will be hosting a school-wide canned food drive from Wednesday, September 16, til Wednesday, September 30. All donations can be dropped off at either Ms. T's classroom in C-217A or Ms. Farmer's classroom in R-12. All food donated will be donated to the Food Bank of Hawaii or the Hawaii Food Basket. Come and show your support. Thank you!
