The on-site Hawai'i Keiki Nurse Practitioner, also known as the APRN, provides first aid and responds to medical emergencies on the school campus. The Nurse Practitioner also provides health education and assesses student health needs. When your child is sick or injured at school, the Nurse Practitioner is available to assess, diagnose, and treat your child with your permission. Every effort will be made to contact you to discuss the plan of care and to coordinate with you as necessary to ensure your child gets the best care possible.
