The Public Schools of Hawaii Foundation recently recognized three honorees for distinguishing themselves within their communities in their respective fields. Congratulations to Mr. Ian Kitajima (Castle High graduate), Ms. Susan Eichor (McKinley High graduate), and Hilo High School's own, Mr. Barry Taniguchi! As part of the prestigious honor, The Public Schools of Hawaii Foundation has donated $5,000 to the three Hawaii high school's that the awardees attended! Mahalo, to the Foundation for your generous gift!
Mr. Barry Taniguchi is a proud Hilo High School graduate. He is the Chair and CEO of KTA Superstores, and sits on the board of directors of our Hilo High School Foundation. Throughout the years, Hilo High School has been very fortunate to work with and receive support from Mr. Taniguchi and KTA Superstores on initiatives and projects that have had long-lasting benefits for the students and staff of Hilo High School.
Thank you, Mr. Taniguchi, for exemplifying the true Viking Spirit in all that you do, and for your continuous support of Hilo High School and our awesome community! #hhsVikingPride
