On behalf of the Hilo High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), as well as the HHS Staff & Faculty, President Beverly Heikes and I would like to THANK YOU for your attendance at our Annual PTSA Open House on August 29. We recognize the sacrifices all of you made to take the time out of your family evening to attend. We are especially grateful to the many hands that organized and labored to make this evening a success.
The PTSA continues to support Hilo High School's efforts in ensuring that our students are prepared for their future endeavors. As Ms. Heikes eluded to in her welcome, your child's success will be measured through a combined effort of the family, students, teachers, and school organizations such as the PTSA.
We are hopeful that the new format of Open House enabled you to take away some useful information regarding our school and our mission. I humbly ask that our participants complete the event survey which will be sent via email to the attendees.
In closing, although we try our best to incorporate meaningful visitation time with teachers during Open House, we know that 8-minutes per class is insufficient. Therefore, please remember that parents & guardians are always welcome and encouraged to reach out to their child's teachers, counselors, or school administrators at anytime.
