As a Title One School, Hilo High School receives and utilizes federal funding toward the implementation of our Academic and Financial Plans. In the past, Hilo High has used these funds toward teacher positions, computers, websites, and other crucial items to aid in student success. To continue being a Title One School for the 2019-2020 School Year, we must have more than 47% of our student population qualified for benefits by Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
In addition to meal subsidies, approved applicants may also receive discounts for the SAT, ACT, and AP test registration fees, and tuition for Running Start and Early College.
