Oiwi E and Senior Luau Meetings
Hey Seniors we having working group meeting for Oiwi E on Tuesdays at Lunch Recess at Kumu Kaipo's room A24, and Senior Luau working group meeting on Wednesday's at Morning Recess also at Kumu Kaipo's room A24.

HERO Points for Food Drive - November 13-16
Hey, Vikings! It's the time of year when we are reminded to give thanks for what we have, and to give what we can to those in need. Please bring in your canned good donations to A-1 during 1st recess and lunch recess throughout the week of November 13-16. National Honor Society members will be collecting your donations, and issuing 2 HERO points for every can or food item donated. All donations will be given to the Hawaii Island Food Basket on November 16. Let's give from the heart, Vikings!

HERO Point Opportunity
Hey Vikings! Friday, November 9th, is the last day to turn in your card or letter for Veteran's Day. It's an easy way to earn 10 HERO points. You can drop it off at A-1, B35 or B42. Don't forget to include your first name, last name, grade, and a message of appreciation to a veteran for their service, time and sacrifice.

HERO Opportunity - "Thank You for Voting" card
Another HERO point opportunity is here! To earn 10 HERO points bring any adult's "Thank You for Voting". This is the confirmation slip that is given after someone successfully votes. Come to the HERO Store (B34) during lunch recess on November 9th to redeem your points.

T-Shirt Sales Extended
Freshmen t-shirt sales have been extended. Shirts will be on sale until Tuesday, November 13. If you don't buy a shirt during the pre-sale, you won't be able to buy one later. Come to Mrs. Araki's room (C-209) to buy the shirts. Sizes small to large is $8.00, xxlarge is $9.00, and xxxLarge is $10.00.

Mandatory Wrestling Practices
Wrestling Season is here Vikings, and mandatory practices have begun. Schedule is as follows: Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:00 is Strength Training @ Weight Room then transition to Wrestling Room 4:30-6:15PM, TUESDAY, THURSDAY and FRIDAYS 4:30-6:30PM @ Wrestling Room. FRIDAY wrestlers are required to complete 2 mile run on own prior to practice. CLEARANCE FROM ATHLETIC TRAINERS ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO PARTICIPATION. Harry Kerr High School Drags
This Saturday is the 2nd Harry Kerr High School Drags at the Hilo Dragstrip. Gates open at 8am. Gate fee is $5 for students with their student ID. Come and watch Ian Seto-Kalawe and Leimamo Racpan improve their reaction time. Last race, Ian won 2nd place with a medal, tool box and $50. Any High School student can enter to race with their parents and ID. Come to A-11 for application forms if you are interested.

FREE Community Workshop on How to Become a Pilot
Hey, Vikings! Are you interested in learning more about how to become a pilot? Attend a FREE workshop hosted by Hawaiian Airlines and Hawaii Air National Guard Pilot Kaiali'i Kahele. The workshop is open to the public at the Imiloa Astronomy Center on Tuesday, November 13th from 5:30-8:00pm.

Career Fair Field Trip - November 15
Aloha, Vikings! Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? Still trying to figure that out? Join us on a Career Fair field trip on November 15th during pd 1 to talk with different employers from a variety of different careers. Field trip forms are available in A-1. Please see Ms. Lawrence to pick up a form. Signed forms are due back to A-1 by November 12th.
