October and November Students of the Month
"Hey Vikings! Back in October, we announced the students of the month for September. This time we would like to announce the students of the month for both October and November. In October, students were selected based on RESPECT. The following students were chosen because they are consistently polite and treat others the way they want to be treated: Rebecca Anej, Austin Cabral, Jason Tomori, Saige De Motta, Quiana Guevara-Rodrigues, Saydin Kaneshiro, Mikailee Palmerston, and Dustin Dela Cruz. For November, students were selected based on INTEGRITY. These students were selected because they are honest and use kind words. The students of the month for November were:Kalei Racpan, Liana Lee, Kaitlyn Jardin, Pueo Rabanes, Nainoa-Keanu Gomes, Collin Fujimoto-Young, Sachiko Bower, Keli Hanley There's one week left of December. That means, there is still time for you to be selected as one of the students of the month for December. This month, teachers are selecting students who are determined. Will you be one of our Students of the Month for December?"

Mini Alumni College Fair - Tuesday, Dec 18
"Attention Vikings! If you would like to hear about college experiences from our own Hilo High School Alumni who are attending various colleges and universities, please pick up a pass from Ms. Lawrence in A-1. The participating alumni will be on campus on Tuesday, December 18th for 2 sessions during pd 5, as well as during lunch recess. Some of the colleges/universities bring represented are: UH Hilo, UH Manoa, Arizona State, Dartmouth College, Dixie State University, LMU, Princeton University, Seattle University, Stanford University, University of San Francisco, UNLV, Weber State,Western Washington University We hope to see you there!"

`Ōiwi Ē Practice
"Aloha kākou! TODAY, Mon-Dec 17th, the entire student body will be reporting to various locations around campus to practice for our annual `Ōiwi Ē competition. Instead of reporting to your individual advisory STARS classes, you will report directly to your grade level locations. The seniors will report to the pool, the juniors to the new gym, the sophomores to the auditorium and the freshmen to the cafeteria. Please be prompt as we all have a lot to practice. Once again: 12th grade to the pool, 11th grade to the new gym, 10th grade to the auditorium and 9th grade to the cafeteria. Mahalo nui loa"

JV Softball Try-Outs
JV Softball Try-outs will begin on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 3:30 - 5:45 PM at Kapiolani Park. Required equipment is a glove and cleats. You must have an updated physical turned in.
