Good morning Vikings!
This is your K-V-I-K-S Morning Bulletin.
My name is _____ and here
are your announcements for
Tuesday, February 19th, 2019.

ACT and PreACT Day

Hey Vikings! Tomorrow, February 20th, is

ACT and PreACT Day.


For those taking the ACT:

All 11th graders will be taking the ACT in the New Gym.

At 7:45am you will be directed to head to the New Gym.

Doors will close at 8:15 am.

That means anyone coming after

8:15am will NOT be able to test.


For those taking the PreACT:

You all will be testing in various locations on campus.

You should have received your room assignments by now.

If you have NOT received your room assignments,

see Ms. Taniguchi in B35.

Doors will close at 8:30am.

If you come after 8:30am you will

NOT be able to test and will have to go home.


For ALL testers:

Be sure to bring a photo ID, no. 2 pencils,

an acceptable calculator,

and snacks for the breaks.


The day will end at the normal Wednesday

release time of 1:10pm.

Senior Hall of Fame

Aloha Vikings!

It is time to vote on the Hall of Fame for seniors.

Who is Mr. Aloha?

Who is the best female athlete?

Please fill out our Google Form to

nominate seniors for our Hall of Fame.

You must vote by February 20th. Thank you!




Attention Juniors

Any interested juniors that would like to tryout as

MC for this year's graduation ceremony,

please stop by Ms. Arbles' room (A-22) to sign up for auditions.

Last day to sign up is February 22.




Crazy Horse Paid Summer Internship

It is for Native American and Native Hawaiian Seniors

Attention Seniors!  Are you looking to get a

jump start on earning college credits this summer?

Want to participate in a PAID internship away

from home in beautiful South Dakota?

See Mrs. Frias for application information for the

2019 Summer Program at the Crazy Horse Memorial.

Applications are due by April 12, 2019.

Preference is given to graduating seniors

of Native American or Native Hawaiian ancestry.



PAID Summer Internship Opportunity!

Aloha, Vikings!

The Forest Solutions agency is offering a full-time,

PAID Internship for high school and

college students this summer.

It is an 8-week vegetation monitoring

program on the island of Hawaii.

If you enjoy working outdoors, hiking,

and have an interest in the areas

of Natural Resources or Conservation,

you could get PAID FOR CAMPING this summer!

Applications are due by March 1st,

so please see Mrs. Frias in

A-1 if you are interested in applying.

KUPU's Hawaii Youth Conservation Corp

"KUPU's Hawaii Youth Conservation Corp is accepting

applications for their summer program.  

Team members engage in culturally significant activities across the island.  

Applications are available online and are due by March 1st.

Esports Pilot Season

Hey Vikings!

Interested in League of Legends,

Rocket League, or Smite?

Well, Hilo High is participating

in the pilot season for high school esports,

and is recruiting members interested in

testing their skills against other schools.  

Signups end on February 22nd,
