All graduating Hilo High School seniors are invited to participate in our first ever Graduate Drive Through Event on May 22, 2020. School Administration released the guidelines for the event via social media, the most important being: "The public is not invited to participate in the event as we must observe the social distancing regulations."

Hilo High School is looking for students who are interested in joining our School Design App Development Team. The app will be made using Android Studio and Apple XCODE. This app that is being developed has the potential to be used by many people, outside of Hilo High! Anyone who wants to learn is available to join this project as well!
The School Quality Survey (SQS) Parent Letters were sent home with your child on Monday, 01/13/2020. Please complete and mail in the enclosed pre-paid envelope at any time, no later than March 13, 2020.
If your child would like to earn 10 HERO points, please have your child bring their COMPLETED (and sealed) SQS envelopes to Ms. Julie Ann Lawrence in A01-B by February 14, 2020.
water polo preseason practices have started -Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 -Saturdays from 8:00-11:00 @ the hilo high pool attire : -one piece (fitted) bathing suit (game suit provided depending on size needed) -latex swimming cap (will be provided) -goggles (optional)
Class of 2020 senior luau will be on Saturday February 29th, 2020 at the Hilo High first patio, the cost will be $20.00 and forms are available for pick up at A12B from January 13-17 and payment will be on Jan 20-24.
The Performing Arts Learning Center, PALC, will hold 2 registration meetings for semester 2. You only need to attend one of the two meetings. The first is meeting is Tuesday, January 14, from 3-4:30 pm. The second meeting is Wednesday, January 15, from 3-4:30 pm.

Seniors! Your commencement song practices are starting on January 13th. Every Monday beginning January 13th, please report directly to the Pool when pd 2 ends. Song practice begins at the start of 1st recess. Anyone who reports more than 5 minutes late will be considered absent for that day's practice and will lose that ticket. Attention all Vikings! The Hilo High Viking Band will be launching a Strawberry Mochi fundraiser! Tickets will be sold the first two weeks of December and pick up will be January 29th - February 1st and February 5th - February 8th at Two Ladies Kitchen from 11am-3pm. Help us celebrate the Fine Arts Department and join us for our "Viking Fine Arts Exhibit" and "Playwrights Festival" - Friday December 6th at 6pm. We will have light refreshments and Art in the Auditorium Hallway. 7pm the show starts, so don't be late!
The Fukunaga Scholarship is open to any graduating senior planning to attend a 4-year college or university next Fall and major in an area of Business. This scholarship could be worth $5,000 every year of college for a total of $20,000! Come to A-1 for more information.
Listen up, Juniors! This Leadership/Scholarship program is just for you! The Bezos Scholars Program is a year-long leadership program that amplifies youth voice and action. Accepted scholars are invited to attend an all-expenses paid trip to the Aspen Ideas Festival during the summer after Junior Year.
