Student's Learn Importance of a Balanced Budget at Reality Fair

On Thursday, October 24, Hilo High Seniors were handed a budget which included their job, and family size. They then had a chance to speak with financial advisors to plan an appropriate budget for their circumstances. Were many successful?

Vikings Take A Stand On Unity

Although the roadway separates them, the Vikings and the Spartans of Hilo Intermediate stood together in solidarity to promote Unity for National Unity Day.

Free Vision Screenings (10/28 - 30, 2019)

The Hawaii Dept. of Education in coordination with non-profit organizations Project Vision Hawaii (PVH) and Vision to Learn VTL), will be providing free vision screenings on Oct. 28-30. If a student shows further need, a trained optometrist will provide a FREE exam and if required, FREE glasses as well.

Deadline for Donating Blood (December 6, 2019)

Hey Juniors and Seniors Do you want to be a hero and save lives right here in Hawaii? On January 22nd we will be having our annual blood drive . By donating blood you can help save up to 3 lives! Sign Up to get a form today until December 6th,2019 in BB102, or if you have the teachers you can also sign up with Mrs. Kalawe, Mr. Sato, and Mrs. Blair. Sign Up before its to late because remember, YOU ARE SOMEONES TYPE! Thank you!

NHS General Meeting (December 3, 2019)

Mele Murals

Mele Murals will be teaming with a core hui of 9th graders to teach mo'olelo of Hilo, design a mural and finally paint a large mural on the wall facing the track.

SY 19-20 Picture Day Make Ups

Aloha Vikings! Were you absent picture day? Do you need to take it again? Reed's crew will be on campus Wednesday, October 16, from 8-11. You need to get a pass from your period 2 teacher to go to the Library and take your picture. Please ask as soon as possible if you can. Faculty and staff, please go during recess. Thank you!

2019 National Unity Day Activities

In the month of October, we will be celebrating National Unity Day and show our desire to prevent bullying. Let’s all unite by participating in these activities.

HERO POINT OPPORTUNITY! VETERANS DAY CARDS

Please come to A-16 at recess and lunch beginning on October 14th (the first day back from fall break) to pick up cards that you can make. Each card can be turned in for 5 HERO points and you can make a total of 4 cards to earn a maximum of 20 points. All cards are DUE on October 30 back to A-16 at recess and lunch.

Big Island Adventure Challenge (October 26-27, 2019)

Annual Big Island Adventure Challenge, JROTC will be hosting a JROTC Physical Fitness Challenge at Hilo High School Track/Field on October 26th from 9am to 4pm and October 27th from 8am to 12pm
