Class of 2025 Commencement Information

Class of 2024 Commencement Exercises

Commencement Date: Friday, May 23, 2025 at 6:30pm
Location: Edith Kanaka’ole Tennis Stadium
Graduate Rehearsal: 8:15 am (Report to Edith Kanaka’ole Tennis Stadium)
*Grad Nite Attendees: Bring your bag that you’ll be taking to Grad Nite
Graduate Report Time for Ceremony: 4:45 pm (Report to stadium, dressed in appropriate attire)
Parents & Guests: Doors Open at 5:30 pm

Cap and Gown

Required to participate in the ceremony
Order online at balfour.com
When ordering cap and gown, the tassel and diploma cover are included (diploma covers will be given at the ceremony, on stage)
All cap and gown orders will be delivered to the school, seniors will be notified to pick them up in A-22 before Spring Break
No orders will be accepted after April 4, 2025

Song Practices

Practices are every Monday, during 1st recess & STARS (report to pool immediately after period 2)
Attendance will be taken and is mandatory
Late = 5 minutes = NO PRACTICE
Excused absences from song practice include: AP testing, school activities, or absences excused by administration
Students that work need to give employer early notice, no exceptions

Attire

(No external adornment may be worn)

White collared shirt Dark pants Dark dress shoes	White dress White dress shoes or sandals (high heels are not suggested, as students will be walking up and down stairs)	Gold traditional stoles will be worn outside the gown (given at check in). This will be worn during the ceremony and given back after receiving your diploma. No modifications to the cap and gown will be allowed Hang up your cap and gown, it can be cool ironed to get wrinkles out

Tickets (all tickets must be earned)

A ticket is required to enter, regardless of age (this includes infants)
Students will receive tickets in May, as long as all school obligations are met (i.e. overdue books, chromebooks and uniforms turned in, dues paid)
There are NO extra tickets available

Seniors can earn 10 tickets from the following:
- Senior Parent Night ~ 1 ticket
- Order cap, gown, and tassel by Dec. 1, 2024 ~ 1 ticket
- Students that paid all dues & fees ~ 2 floor seat tickets (given 5/23/2025 at morning rehearsal)
- Grad Nite attendee ~ 1 ticket
- After school song practice on 5/21/25 from 1:30-3:00pm at the pool ~ 1 ticket
- Song practices ~ 4 tickets

Aunty Sally’s (Check-in begins at 4:45pm, ends at 5pm)

Bring your cap, gown, tassel (can get dressed once inside in AC)
Bring bobby pins to secure your cap
Graduates should NOT be holding any tickets
Once inside, graduates cannot go outside
DO NOT bring phones/electronics (it will be taken)
DO NOT chew gum
Be respectful, everyone is there to help make commencement a successful event

Additional Information

Fire Safety Rules PROHIBIT lei boxes, balloons, banners and pvc pipes being brought into the stadium
Please be respectful - NO air horns, suitcases, duffle bags
Doors will not reopen to the public after 7:30pm, and will remain closed after ceremony

No bags larger than 23” W x 13.5” H will be allowed (similar to large Aloha bag)
