- ROUTE: Head up Waianuenue Avenue (coming from Hilo Union) to make the RIGHT turn into the gym’s parking lot. Check-In will be at the entrance of the gym. Follow the signs from the gym and turn right up Waianuenue Avenue toward the Hilo High School main parking lot. Follow signs and exit campus taking a right turn onto Waianuenue Avenue.
There shall be no "stationary audience", other than the faculty and staff of Hilo High School and invited guests. These people will be spread apart to observe social distancing guidelines and will be wearing masks throughout the event.
Parents and family members who join the graduate in their vehicle (all seat belted) is that graduate's "mobile audience" at the event.
No one will be allowed on campus outside of a graduate-containing vehicle. Administration emphasizes the need for public and extended family members to not attempt to park around or enter onto the school campus.
Throwing items from the vehicles is not permitted at anytime.
The purpose of the event is to "walk the line" in a non-traditional format to commemorate the accomplishments of our seniors. Misbehavior of any kind will truly tarnish the prestigiousness of High School Graduation.
