The seamless summer option meal program will begin on June 4 and run until July 19. Meal distribution will be at lunchtime only. All children ages 18 and younger may participate at the approximately 80 distribution sites, regardless of their enrollment status. Parents or guardians who choose to pick up meals without their child(ren) present must provide verification documents daily.

Every child should have access to healthy nutritious food year round. Kaukau for Keiki is open to children 18 and younger (children with disabilities raise the age to 22) who live in the 967xx zip codes.

Hawaii public schools are offering a food program to provide free meals to all students at select campuses that meet specific qualification standards. The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) is participating in a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) program to allow all students at those schools to receive free meal service. The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows a school district, a group of schools or a single school with high concentrations of economically disadvantaged families to serve free meals to everyone even if they do not qualify for the free or reduced-price lunch reimbursement.
