Hilo High Taiko Club

Hilo High Taiko develops a kumi-daiko (ensemble drumming) style that aims to explore the limitless versatility of taiko in different performance venues by drawing on the cultural and musical richness of our Pacific Island home.
We are open to working with other taiko drummers and musicians locally, nationally, and globally on performances and educational events to raise awareness of taiko and other Asian performing arts among the general public.
Students have the chance to experience the discipline, creativity, and fun/energy of taiko as part of Hilo High Taiko's commitment to the art of taiko and the community at large. These include classes, workshops, and performances, without limitation.
